SCAP — Specialty Coffee Association of Panama

SCAP is the Specialty Coffee Association of Panama, the producer body that runs the Best of Panama competition and online auction.1

Founded in the mid-1990s by pioneering Panamanian producers, SCAP built Best of Panama (first held in 1996) into the event that set — and keeps setting — the world’s record coffee prices.2 As those prices climb, SCAP is now moving to trademark “Panama Geisha” as a protected origin brand.3
