Wilford Lamastus
Wilford Lamastus is the Panamanian coffee producer who runs Elida Estate, his family’s farm in Boquete — the operation behind some of the highest coffee prices ever recorded. The Lamastus family has grown coffee at Elida Estate since 1918, spanning four generations (Lamastus Family Estates Auction, accessed 2026-07-22). Under Wilford’s stewardship the estate pioneered a producer-run private auction alongside the public Best of Panama competition, giving buyers direct access to small, traceable Geisha lots — and it has repeatedly reset the world price record, from the first-ever 10,013/kg “Torre” lot in 2024.
