Welcome to the Coffee Sketcher wiki

A living, visual map of the specialty coffee world. Every farm, auction, variety, person, and idea is its own note, and everything links to everything else — open the graph (right side, or bottom on mobile) and start wandering.

This is a learning tool first: dense on facts, honest about what’s still unverified, and always growing.

The famous story

  • Geisha — the variety that rewrote coffee prices
  • Bourbon — the founding variety most of the world’s coffee descends from
  • Typica — the other founding variety, carried around the world by colonial trade
  • Hacienda La Esmeralda — the farm that started it
  • Don Pachi Serracín — the man who first carried Geisha to Panama

How this wiki grows

Each thing in coffee is a small note. You link two notes by writing its name in double brackets — that link becomes a line in the graph. Add a note, link it, and the map redraws itself. There is no end state; it just keeps growing.

Accuracy

This is an educational resource. Anything not yet cross-checked against a primary source is marked with a To verify callout. Don’t quote a number that only one source reports.
